Recipes in the Raw

Barbequed Burgers (minus the barbeque)

 

  1 cup almonds, soaked 12-48 hours

  1 cup walnuts, soaked 8-12 hours 

  1 cup pecans, soaked 8-12 hours

  1/2 medium-sized onion, minced

  1/2 red pepper, minced

  2 tablespoons Braggs Liquid Aminos

  2 tablespoons flax oil

  1 tablespoon Savory Magic

  2 teaspoons Liquid Smoke

  1 teaspoon garlic powder

  1 teaspoon  onion powder

 

Process almonds, walnuts and pecans through a Champion or Omega Wheatgrass Juicer using the solid screen. Mix in the remaining ingredients. Form into burgers and place them on a dehydrator try.  Dehydrate at 105 degrees for 2-3 hours. These burgers are delicious wrapped in large lettuce leaves with sprouts, tomato, and avocado, served with Santa Barbara Olive Co. Green Olives. Yum!

 

Makes 9-10 burgers.
