Belly Moth by Andy Duroe
Belly Moth (fairy)

Photo Taken in Potters Bog Dartmoor (GB)1.6.94.

Belly moths are very hard to photograph as their bodies are made of a green vaporous gas, most camera flashes tend to make them explode, To take this pic I used a mirror to reflect the moon light, I was lucky to also catch a small "Polly Wogle" in the back ground.
Belly Moths spend the winter underground in the shape of large warty toads, It is not wise to touch Belly Moths (or explode them) as they can leave an erie stench that lingers for months.
