A sliced
Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just
like the human eye... and YES science now shows that carrots greatly enhance
blood flow to and function of the eyes.

A Tomato has
four chambers and is red. The heart is red and has four chambers. All of the
research shows tomatoes are indeed pure heart and blood food.

10 Tips for Stress Relief
by Steve Edwards, Beachbody.com
Stress
is a part of everyone's life. And, as the tabloids remind us, even the most
successful, fit, got-it-made-in-the-shade celebrities are not immune to it. It
disrupts our ability to function at work. It affects our moods. It upstages
the things around us which we should be grateful for. Stress distracts our
attention and, when it does, it gains power in what becomes a vicious cycle of
reacting to stress, and building on it. But even though we're all susceptible
to its evils, we're also in control of how we let it affect us. Let's take a
look at a few ways to keep our daily stress to a minimum.
As you might imagine, your lifestyle plays a huge part in how stress affects
you. What you may not be aware of is just how important your diet is for how
well your body can cope with it. It seems obvious that just eating better
would help you deal with stress more effectively. Sure, but there are
dissenting opinions over how if affects your body.
According to the American Dietetic Association: "It's a common myth that our
bodies use more nutrients when we're under mental stress. Although pressures
at home or work sometimes cause people to neglect eating well, we do not use
any more or fewer essential nutrients while under stress..."

House Plants Filter Toxins From
the Air
Canwest News Service, Environmental
Health News
Our lives depend on technology, but ordinary
household products such as paints, tobacco smoke, printer ink and carpets hold
hidden dangers plants can help reduce.
Former NASA research scientist Dr. Bill Wolverton found plants improve air
quality through their natural "filtering" ability. He discovered house plants
can absorb up to 87 per cent of volatile organic compounds like formaldehyde
and benzene, found in many homes and offices.
Indoor plants work round the clock to "clean" the air! How? They absorb toxins
into the root zone, where they're turned into nutrients. Some tropical plants
suppress airborne mold. Some of the hardest working plants are the peace
lilies, ferns, palms, and spider plants. Some plants actually work at night
while we sleep. These green heroes "breathe out" oxygen and absorb carbon
dioxide at night, rather than in the daytime, when the majority of plants do
their "breathing..."
You’re not Sick,
You’re Thirsty
by Joey Shulman, DC, RNCP, Alive
The human body can survive for five weeks
without food, but only five days without water. This elixir of life is
involved in every aspect of body function, from digestion to excretion. Water
also helps maintain normal body temperature and aid in the absorption of vital
nutrients.
Without water, we experience chronic mild to moderate dehydration. I contend
that dehydration is the root cause of several health conditions, including
faulty digestion, fatigue, inability to lose weight, achy joints, and dry
skin. Increase your water intake to easily improve these conditions.
I believe that many of us are so accustomed to a chronic state of dehydration
that we no longer experience the urge to drink. Regular water consumption
feels like a chore. As a general rule, though, if you no longer feel thirsty,
it is definitely time to drink! Once you begin to drink water on a daily
basis, you will find your thirst sensation is quickly restored and drinking
water will become routine...
